what is COOL IRON? (on clothing label)

Evening all. I've recently taken my coat to the dry cleaners and went wrong (I've posted it in other category...if you are interested Sad ). Basically, coat's care tag/label and says " cool iron" "dry cleaning only"

Since my recent experience (ongoing) at the dry cleaners put me off to use them again, I was thinking that I should start using like Home Dry Cleaning Kit from Lakeland in the future. but what about "cool iron" ? I usually dry thick clothes on the radiator in the winter, and radiator can get piping hot like i can't even touch more than 4 secs...so that could ruin the fabric at all? or any other way to dry?

It wouldn't be very wet though if its dry cleaned as that uses solvents rather than water. Cool iron means use a synthetics setting on the iron rather than a cotton setting as that would be too hot

Thanks for your reply dementedpixie,

I haven't used home cleaning kit so i didn't realise it would not be too wet (and heavy as my coat contains wool) that's very good to know thanks!
