If you moved house with packers, can you share tips?

We're hoping to complete and move in exactly 1 months' time. Moving from a tiny 2 bed that is packed from cellar to attic with stuff.
We've saved enough money to get packers, which will be a godsend. We both work and have 3 kids, oldest age 7 has ASD and lots of challenging behaviour, middle is 5 (NT) and baby is 13 months and just starting to walk, so it's basically chaos. Also a senile blind cat in the mix.
The packer lady (angel) came round last week and basically said I don't need to do anything, they do it all, which sounds amazing but I can't help thinking that sounds too easy and there are things I should be doing to assist the process.
Decluttering is not an option as I have no time or space to declutter into until we move.
If you've been there and done it, can you share any tips please. Much appreciated!

We used packers because our autistic son wouldn't have let us have packed boxes around the house without him trying to open and unpack them again! Ours came during one school day, packed, put the boxes on the van and in their compound overnight (so we had furniture, toys and minimal stuff around). They delivered the boxes to our new home early the next day, then came back and moved all the furniture etc. We then picked up son from school, and took him straight to the new house.

Our tip - make it clear which is the 'rubbish' pile; else they will pack that too!

Used packers when DM moved, they were amazing. They are like locusts though and will take everything unless you label it is to stay (found her old doorbell box thing when we unpacked DM’s boxes in her new flat).

They will probably use more packing material than you would so be prepared for that when unpacking.

You may also end up with nothing to sit on as they have a system, so we ended up sitting on the lounge floor whilst they were still packing other boxes. Also had to borrow neighbour’s hoover to do last clean as we hadn’t thought to put DM’s one in the car and it got packed before we knew it.

Would never move without packers now I have seen them in action

I packed as if going on holiday. A bag each with a couple of days worth of clothes pyjamas toiletries bag kids special toys. Then a day each with with colouring stuff, toys snacks and basically picnic stuff enough for a few days.
Then electronics bag, chargers cables remotes.

Keep the cat hungry on the day of the move. Then they won't wander too far from home.
Take the hoover with you in the car. Aim to get to the new house before the removal company. Then at least you can hoover the empty rooms.

Packers are fantastic, we have fine it twice.

One of the best things is that they supply all packing materials and then collect the empty boxes later.

But they do pack everything.

If there is rubbish in the bins, it all gets packed.

Oh yes, have a designated location for things not to move. My parent's house was packed and stored for six months when they first went abroad.

Six months later, first thing to be unpacked was the tea pot complete with used tea leaves.

Think about unpacking, too. If you are unpacking yourselves, make sure that you have plenty of time to return any boxes or crates. Our removers charged £1 for any box not returned within a week. More money well spent to take out time unpacking.

As per everyone else, plenty of snacks etc for the packers, be clear on room ja king and remove anything you don't want packed ...

If you can, I'd invest in a cleaner for a one off deep clean to save you time once the packing is done ....
