Has anyone used tHis "KLARSTEIN Zap Dry Tumble Dryer" before?

There is no online review.

And this brand got very positive reviews on Amazon but very poor ones on TrustPilot.

Would like to know if anyone on mumsnet has experience with them.

Hi, took a risk and order one at the weekend as it was only £130 with the £10 off for signing up to the newsletter. Should arrive in the next couple of days and will post a review.

@5jdc, where did you get it for only £130? That's a very good deal!

Have you received it?

Hi, I've had the dryer for a couple of days now. So my option is mixed. Firstly to call it a tumble dryer is a bit of an exaggeration. It's basically a heated airer. There are hooks inside that hold clothing. 7/8 items max. Shirts/t-shirt etc less if towels (we just put the first load in without hooking them on and they dried but took a long time. On the positive it's fairly quiet, looks good and is light. I would give it 3stars out of 5 but only because I paid £130 for it. I've seen it now at £279 and at that price I wouldn't give it more that 1 star.

@5jdc, if I use it to dry halfway air dried clothes, would that be workable?

I started to turn on electrical towel rail to dry those clothes been out 8n air for over 2 days but still damp.

Really running out of idea!

We use it on the 3 hour dry mode and it dried around 8 items. On reflection I might have been a bit harsh with my feedback. It's better than the heated airer we currently have.

I bought this one in the end. Manageable size, even though the footprint could be smaller.

But so far it works almost like a proper dryer, just smaller.

Hello! Can I ask what happens to the water? Thinking of getting one to put in the pantry as a tumble dryer won’t fit, but worried about the water! Is there a unit to empty? Thanks!

5jdc · 20/11/2019 00:28

Hi, no it's basically a heated air. We have it in the bathroom and leave the extractor on but if the pantry has a window. You'll be fine.
