Laundry, lost in translation

Hello! We’ve recently moved to London from New York and I am having a very hard time finding unscented products. I’m swapping out our summer and autumn clothes and my current frustration is finding a fragrance-free, neutral-ph (7) laundry detergent for my silks and other delicates. I am not concerned about price, as this is used sparingly for only delicate things. It never occurred to me that the simple task of finding cleaning/household products here would be among the most challenging, having grown up only hearing of American brands. I am confident that all of you mums out there are going to have the answer in a heartbeat!

Have you tried ecover?

aNewYorkerInLondon · 06/09/2019 21:13

I only saw it in lavender and sandalwood scented. Do they make a fragrance-free version? :-)

A quick goog is your friend. www.ecoverdirect.com/departments/zero.aspx?deptid=ZERO

What about a pure soap product like this?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/09/2019 01:23

I use an unperfumed EcoEgg for delicates .
No soap to rinse out .
Non animal tested

I do put mine in a laundry bag, I had one open in the wash and all the pesky little pellets spilled out Hmm

Surcare is fragrance free. I use Filetti but although it is 'free from enzymes', it isn't fragrance free although it is meant to be ok for sensitive skin. Just looking at the box, I can't see the ph value - that might be another thing lost in translation.

Ecover zero is unscented. Look on Ocado.

Thank you all! Looking for these now. It’s these little things... so much appreciated!

We use Surcare currently which is basically completely inert, having gone through lots of 'unscented' 'skin kind' 'non-allergenic' etc and eventually someone or other in the house becoming sensitive to them.
