Who's using an induction hob to shout about?!

We're kitting out our new kitchen and looking for a '5' zone induction hob that can take all the different sizes of pots and pans we might need over the years as the little ones grow up

I don't want to be scared to let them use it, so really want one that doesnt scratch, so looking for feedback as the reviews (where there are any) don't really mention scratchability!

I've got an induction hob on my range cooker, a Falcon. It's been a revelation, takes so much less time to cook and touch wood, I've not scratched the surface at all on mine. I've used Hob Brite cleaner and it's as good as new still. Once you've used induction, you'll never go back. They just told us in the shop to make sure we cover it up if we take the extractor fan above it apart!

Just had one fitted and I love it. Be aware though - choose one with a 13A and not a 3A. Very important. Otherwise you cannot have full power on the whole hob. You may have to rewire your kitchen to accommodate it, I did! Best move!

I had a neff induction hob in our last house. It was on offer in John Lewis and wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. I absolutely loved it and it never scratched. I just used to wipe it over with soap and water and the non scratchy side of the sponge. The lift from our extractor fan even fell out onto it and it was fine.

We have moved house and miss it terribly. We've got an electric one at the moment which is just the worst of all worlds.

We've had a Neff one for 3 years now & it looks as good as new.

Thanks all - sounds like it is possible to keep them looking new then! Do you do anything special?
On the Neff site and John Lewis there are a few reviews saying they scratch easily which is what started getting us concerned! (we were looking at either Neff, Bosch or AEG i think)

I also see some threads around the net of people putting tea towels or silicone pads down etc

We have an AEG one. My mum has a Miele. Both are fab.
