Best Flooring for downstairs cloakroom/loo??

I am having a refit of the downstairs cloakroom/loo. Currently it is carpeted, in the same colour as the hall/living room/dining room etc, and the carpet has gone a little , ahem .
I am not planning on pulling up all of the downstairs carpets, just the cloakroom.

What is the best flooring for such a room which gets v heavy use ( all our coats/shoes etc are stored in there too)
Possibly something like a jute carpet, but this too will go ?
Small room, so thinking perhaps Amtico?
Don't like laminate, would consider real wood, but worried re staining/water damage.
Would love slate, but poss too dark?
Have 5 yo potty trained dt's

TIA

KARNDEAN!

NOT JUTE!!!!!

You can't wash it, it will shrink if you try

Stone would be fine, esp if you could add underfloor heating, doesn't have to be slate, how about limestone?

How about Marmoleum- reasonable price, warmish underfoot, great range of colours/ designs, washable....

We have Karndean too - continues from the hall into the cloakroom.

We are in your situation too! DD turned tap on with plug in sink!! It has taken me ages to decide and have ruminated for months. I too wanted the floor to flow from Hall (carpeted) but have finally decided on some lovely tiles (cream)from Porcelanosa!! Would have loved wood (or even Karndean but not ready to do lounge/dining room!! We have slate in the kitchen and it is rather bumpy (naturally uneven) plus we could not match it up!!
