Range cooker - Delonghi and Rangemaster

Hi, I'm in the final leg of picking a range cooker for new kitchen. I am trying to decide between 2 brands - Delonghi and Rangemaster. I cant find many reviews for the Delonghi but it looks great and is within budget. I havent been able to view one in person as no showroom near me. U wondered if anyone had one and if they can tell me about it please? Mainly the build quality and quality of the knobs and other components? As these always tend to crack/peel/writing comes off etc with every oven I've ever had!
I've seen some of the rangemaster and I know it is probably a more well known brand. I'd be going for hr professional deluxe I think it's called. Does anyone have one? Good and bad bits? Would you reccomend?
Many thanks, if you have read his or my other thread getting me to this point , then I thank you lol. I promise I wont post any more about ovens or kitchens once I'm decidedGrin

I can’t comment on delonghi but I have this rangemaster and I’m really happy with it. I’ve had it for about a year when it replaced my 18year old Smeg.

I’ve got a ranger master 90 classic duel fuel that came with my house. It’s the worst oven I’ve ever used and has destroyed my enjoyment of cooking over the 3 years I’ve had the misfortune of using it. I’m currently in the middle of building work for a new kitchen and I can’t wait to see the back of the damn think.

It’s a serious case of style over substance.

Over on my other kitchen thread ( I know! SorryBlush ) someone has mentioned about the taller oven on the right being very narrow, too narrow for use really. Is his a problem any of you have found with the rangemaster? Thanks

I have a range master - I don't use he tiny oven at all, nothing fits in it properly

EdtheBear · 09/06/2019 21:49

I have a Rangemaster and love the skinny oven for heating stuff, esp midweek dinners, chips, roast veggies, fish fingers, keivs, fish cakes, lasagne etc

I use it more than the big oven but maybe that says more about my life style.

fastyellowcar · 09/06/2019 21:51

I had a standard size delonghi and I loved it. It was a total workhorse (I'm a baker), solid and dependable. Huge oven, and all the accessories were solid - cast iron stand supports, metal knobs etc.

We moved, bigger kitchen, and now have a 110cm rangemaster. Love it too. I'd say the accessories don't feel quite as solid as the delonghi's, and the grill is a bit annoying (fixed at one height only) but overall very happy with it, works really well.

Jowak1 · 09/06/2019 21:52

Both me and my parents have the Rangemaster and love them! They work so well and get so hot fast.

Guiltypleasures001 · 09/06/2019 21:52

Hi op

We have a Rangemaster 110 5 ring halogen hob with a plate warmer on the side
Separate grill two ovens and a warming draw. It's been i
In since we bought the house in 2008

The knobs don't peel, nothing rubs off, we replaced a fan motor costing £48
Last year, but that had been gong since we moved in 😳

We love it, it's one of the reasons we bought the house

PrayingandHoping · 09/06/2019 21:53

I use my skinny oven. I bought a few trays that fit in it

Lasagne dishes etc all fit in them anyway 👍

foreverblessedbee · 09/06/2019 22:09

Thank you everyone!! fastyellowcar you are the first person who has posted on oth threads who has had a delonghi!!! Please , please, if you dont mind, could you tell me which you have? I'm looking at this one.... i just cant decide as it doesn't seem such a popular choice as the rangemaster but is around 500pounds cheaper, which would help the kitchen budgetConfused Part of me thinks you only get what you pay for, the other bit of me is trying to not go overboard with the spends if I can get equivalent quality.

Thank you so much to everyone! This thread has been really helpful to me!
I finally made a decision and have ordered the Rangemaster professional 90cm in slate.
Once I've made a no-going-back- decision I feel like I've freed my mind of all the anxiety- thank you to all who contributed xxxxx
Anxiety and indecision makes things like this such more difficult than it actually should be.
Thanks for listening to me waffle mumsnet!

Glad to hear you went for it! Does feel good to make a decision :)

Doesn't matter now, but for anyone else who might come across this... I can't remember the model of delonghi (it was in our old house), but it had 'professional' in the title and looked like this one: https://markselectrical.co.uk/DDC606DF_DeLonghi-Dual-Fuel-Cooker.html?referrer=GoogleShopping&gclid=CI2Fn-GP3-ICFRaI1Qod9pMBgQ

I'd definitely have one again.

Enjoy your new cooker!! Grin
