Droomba is getting on a bit and definitely not working as well as he once did. Has anyone sent theirs somewhere and been pleased with results?

I also have a dearly beloved yet elderly Roomba. I feared he had developed dementia as Micheal the roomba was not sweeping the whole room and battery was running out., He was just hanging around confused in the middle of the room. I bought him a new battery, filter, side sweeper thing and some other bits. All in a set from eBay and he is like a new man. Efficient and cheerful. On a serious note Roomba parts are very easy to replace so it easy to service your Roomba yourselves, just know what series your model is. Mine is an elderly 520 so I look for 500 series parts.

Hmmm I might have another look at spare parts. I have a 770 and I replaced his battery, brushes etc and while this did help, I think he's been so heavily used that all sorts of bits might need replacing. So I'm undecided whether to send him off for a specialist MOT or just ask my local electronics guy to give him an overhaul. So I was hoping to ask about other people's experiences with either.
