Frog in kitchen - should I try and catch it or just go to bed?

Last seen behind the washing machine.

Bit scared of frogs.

Couldn't get upstairs - could it?

Is it unhygenic?

Don't worry

A mouse was living in our living room for about 4 weeks

The cat brought it in, I thought she'd taken it out again..

About 2 weeks later I saw it venture out from behind a bookcase one night

It took us anotehr 2 weeks to catch it

Frogs are harmless and sweet

jumpyjan · 18/07/2007 23:00

He really wasn't sweet - believe me!

Think frog is getting more sympathy than me.

Might just go to bed.

Don't think trail of slugs plan will work - don't have enough slugs to hand!

Would you really rather pick up a load of slugs to make a trail than catch one frog?

I think you are tired and do need to go to bed.

silkcushion · 18/07/2007 23:04

anyway I'm dancing along to Harpsichords singing

Pan · 18/07/2007 23:05

Wouldn't be a problem in France. Breakfast would be sorted.

jumpyjan · 18/07/2007 23:11

Yes - going to bed.

Will deal with froggy in morning.

Have shoe box ready (or might open front door and hope he leaves).

did you catch it?
(BTW if it was in your kitchen it was almost certainly a toad not a frog)

pyjamaqueen · 19/07/2007 07:37

Hope it didn't eat you in the night.

jumpyjan · 19/07/2007 09:06

Hooray - I just caught him and took him outside.

He was sitting on wet towel that was soaking up leak from washing machine - caught him with DH's packed lunch box in the end.

Feeling very brave - lol.

Glad I don't have to spend rest of day wondering where he is.

Glad you survived the night! I too had to pop on here just to see what the outcome was with Mr.Frog!!

Ripeberry · 20/07/2007 10:45

I'll catch it for you.
Love frogs, we have a pond in the back garden and my DDs are always impressed when i put my hand in the pond and always manage to pull out our resident frog.
He tucks himself away in the pond liner fold so i always know where he is.
My cat on the other hand is a real terror, so far this year he has brought in 2 live baby rabbits that ran round the house crapping everywhere.. poor things.
And left rabbit heads and guts on the kitchen floor and loads of mice... YUCK!
Always worried about what i'll find when i come downstairs.
He is locked in kitchen overnight with a basket so they can't come into the rest of the house.
