New saucepans for induction hob

New induction hob. Thought our old pans were induction hob friendly but seems not. Any recs for good pans. Willing to spend 150 quid. (New kitchen, can't spend more than that at mo!)

Costco have great cookware sets. This is one set suitable for induction hobs, there a couple more on the website if different prices. This is a little over your stated budget but they look great and they do have cheaper too.

I use Le Crueset Stainless steel pans and they are brilliant but pricey (git mine in Debenhams sale). Mine are 11 years old and going strong. Lifetime guarantee too I think.

We bought these recently and they are fab!
Stellar 7000 S7C1D 5 Piece Saucepan Set with Draining Lids, Induction Ready, (Stainless Steel)

Well made with nice solid bases.
Makes sure you decide if you want "draining" or non-draining lids though. The draining type all have lips on the side of the pan and a deep lid with holes in it - it saves having to use colanders and strainers.
An ordinary version is also available if you prefer.

I know you said £150 max, but if you get these you'll never need another set. We had Circulon for years and only changed over because we got induction. Have this set for 3 years so far and they're still perfect...gorgeous colour too.

We use the circulon set from Costco. I've never been so impressed by a set of pots!

NannyR · 09/05/2019 14:42

I've got Ikea 365 stainless steel saucepans for stuff like pasta, veg, rice etc - no need for these to be non stick, and I have circulon infinity (?) frying pans and saute pan .

RhubarbIsEvil · 09/05/2019 14:46

What if you only want one pan? Do you have to buy the set?

DragonMamma · 09/05/2019 14:47

We had the same issue when we moved house and a relative bought me a set from Dunelm which look as good now as the day we received them.

I wanted Circulon but as it was a house warming gift I didn’t want to ask for something so extravagant but I’ve been really impressed with them.

ChillyB · 09/05/2019 14:51

Had the same dilemma recently, I went for the Ikea 365 pans. I’m really pleased with them they work great from hob to oven and no issues with them not being non-stick. I bought the set in Ikea and then got a few others separately to go with them.

Teddyreddy · 09/05/2019 14:57

We got the Procook Gourmet ones off amazon, see www.amazon.co.uk/ProCook-Gourmet-Induction-Non-Stick-Stockpot/dp/B0026OLA20/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?s=gateway&keywords=procook+induction+pans&sprefix=procook+ind&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1557409914&sr=8-5

They also do sets of either 4 or 6 saucepans but I had some specific sizes I wanted so bought them individually. We've had them a year and have been pleased with them.

Roussette · 09/05/2019 15:01

I don't like matchy matchy sets of stuff so I bought variety from TK Maxx. They have brilliant pans, frypans all sorts at reduced prices.

Take a magnet with you. If it sticks on bottom of pan it's fine for induction.

Spanglybangles · 09/05/2019 15:08

Costco have the same Circulon set magicstar1 recommends, for £45 less than the amazon price by the way.

Sarcelle · 09/05/2019 16:22

Wow. Nobody replied in time, so DH went off and bought Circulon pans - think he paid 124 quid for a set. He is the cook in the household! But good to see that he made the right decision based on poster choices on here.

We went to TKMaxx with a magnet and just selected the pan types and sizes we actually use!

Slaymill · 11/05/2019 14:07

I found my expensive pans not as good as the cheaper ones. Fingers crossed your set lasts.
