I am getting on top of neglected jobs this May.

How to give a white loo a really good clean? I have a loo brush, bleach/non-bleach. I never really get under the rim and the inside needs a good clean.

Is vinegar a thing? Should I be buying something else?

So I watched something on five minute crafts or so, they said use a tooth brush, get a lighter and heat up the tooth brush handle a bit below the bristles.. bend it to a 90 degree angle and let it cool.

Once it’s cool you can use it to clean under the rim with bleach.

For the toilet I use bleach and “quack” descaler. I get the toilet brush and flush the toilet and while it’s flushing I push the brush into the water hole which creates pressure keeping the water level below usual and hence I can soak the exposed layer with some descaler.

I put on descaler overnight, wake up the next morning with gloves and get scrubbing.

I use vinegar with tissue to clean the outer part of the toilet and the seat. However, if there is some areas which look yellowish, I again put bleach. And use a toothbrush to clean.

Keeping doing it with Harpic 100% limescale removed - won't happen overnight but a few applications when you leave it on for a few hours are amazing. Our loos were awful when we moved in (empty house for a while) but soon sparkling and free of limescale after a few overnight applications.

Amazing tips! I would never have thought to try a toothbrush, and limescale remover sounds just the ticket. Thank you!
