Ozone generator to deodorise after a house fire?

We recently had a small house fire. There was an electrical fault on the hob, charred a bit of the bench and some wooden chopping boards propped up behind hob - would have been so much worse if our neighbours hadn't spotted the smoke, thank goodness!
We rent the property and landlord has decided to refurbish so we're moving out
which is a huge relief as she is a mad cow but our lounge suite and mattresses all still smell a bit smokey and we don't want to take the odour with us into our new home. I've seen a local cleaning service advertising ozone generators to deodorise homes after smoke damage, has anyone ever used this type of thing? Seems to be a mixed bag of opinions on Google and I don't want to fork out a lot of money if it's not going to work.
The landlords insurance assessor suggested we throw them all out and get new 🙄😂 he says the smell is deep in the foam now.

Assuming you didn't have contents insurance?
