Knee deep in dog hair... hoover help needed

We have two dogs that shed hair a lot!
I hoover using a 10yr old Miele cat and dog and thought I was doing ok...

Today, I decided to google how to remove dog hair from carpet and it was suggested I use a shower squeegee thingie....

OMG.... I can't tell you how much dog hair I removed. I actually look like I have new carpets....

I obviously need a better hoover...

What will do the trick and why?

If you have already had a look around and found the Shark Rocket True Pet HV320 and were thinking of buying it... you can have mine because I think it's bloody rubbish! 😫

I'm still on the hunt but I don't want you to waste money like I did!

Avoid! It just doesn't have a good suction in my opinion. Even on my laminate it leaves hair behind 🙈

Jessikka thanks. I was considering a shark.

I need a motorised head - I believe!

The Henry Novac. It's so powerful I struggle to use it and don't use it for general hoovering, jusr for when dog hair builds up. I use the handheld dyson for day to day

I use a rubber broom
Sweep before hoovering

Pristineconditions I Bought a rubber brush today but it wasn't very useful, the squeegee Was much better.

What brush do you use?

Miele cat and dog works well for my hairy crowd.

I use a rubber broom from Wilko, but you can also use an old pair of nylon tights or a rubber glove. This picks up a lot of hairs so you don't have to empty the hoover as often.
