Candles

I usually buy the large or medium Yankee Candles but always end up with a good few centimetres at the bottom that don’t burn.

Does anyone have any tips to ensure this doesn’t happen?

Thanks

buy some new wicks melt the remaining wax over a pot of hot water decant into smaller jars and make your own smaller candles put a pencil or pen over the lip of the jar and dangle the wick tied to it into the wax let it set and then cut the wick from the pen

The first time you burn them give them long enough that the was melts to the edge, helps burn evenly down.

Pick it out and pop it in a burner. No wastage.

The residue at the base is a safety mechanism , if they burned down to the glass you'd risk damage to whatever it is sitting on , or the glass itself.

But YY to using the wax in a burner . When its cold , poke a sharp knofe in , it'll spit , come out and take out the wick and the metal disc.

I don't re-use the jars (I know people do for cotton wool etc) but I sometimes use the glass lids for tea lights (take the plastic seal off first)
