Hi i have autism and my knowledge very limited on this. I use Fiery non bio gel and there is visible suds in between wash cycles, is this normal or should there be no suds what so ever? Hope i make sense.

Hey OP.
I’ve worked in laundry companies so know a little about it. Where are the suds?

Lostone87 · 15/03/2019 18:07

Bodear in the bottom of the tank. When it drains the sud are gone till it fills again. Is it true that to much detergent ruins clothing?

Do you mean suds are left over after a wash is finished? Or during the wash cycle?

dementedpixie · 15/03/2019 18:11

You will get some suds during the wash cycle as the bubbles trap the dirt and then get washed away in the rinse cycle

Hey OP
I have 2 questions:

  1. Are the suds left in the clothes when you take them out?
  2. Are you seeing these suds when the machine has completely stopped?
Lostone87 · 15/03/2019 19:40

Bodear
No to the two questions. Kind regard

Then you’re absolutely fine and using the right amount. Smile

Is there any water left in the fabric conditioner dispenser when the load has finished?

e1y1 · 16/03/2019 02:23

As Bodear says if you don’t have suds in your clothes when taking them out of machine and don’t have suds showing in machine when off and no clothes in it then you’re fine.

But to answer your question, yes too much detergent does ruin clothing and machine, but then so can not enough. Experience will tell you what to use as so many things affect it - load size, soil level, fabric type, water hardness and selected wash cycle that’s not even thinking about detergent type.

Powder is better for your machine though as it helps keep it clean. Liquids can cause gunky build up and eventually the machine starts to smell and the washing will too.
