Do wheelie bin stores keep flies away?

Hello. I'm looking at prices of wheelie bin stores (surprisingly quite expensive on my budget), but I'm wonder how effective they are at preventing flies going into the bins. I'd have to probably get a plastic store which can be sealed when closed.
Any suggestions/ recommendations would be great. Thsnk you 🙂

I doubt that either would work. If you are closing the wheelie bin properly it should not attract flies.

I’d check the bin itself isn’t cracked or warped first, if it’s closed they shouldn’t get in. I wash mine with the hose and a bit of bleach.. brush to scrub if I’m feeling energetic (like a floor brush not a tooth brush 😂) that’d kill off any eggs or that inside it or atleast wash them down the drain.

I don’t think that would work op.
What’s causing the flies? If rubbish is sealed and the lid closed properly you should be fine.
I hose my bins out after each collection using bleach.
You can also pay someone to clean them out round here (think it’s about £5 a go).

Make sure bin has no holes in it
Wash it out properly with bleach after each empty
Use a wheelie bin liner
Use bin liners for all household bins and tie them properly before outing in wheelie bin
No food waste in general waste bin. Make sure and use the correct food waste bin
Make sure any non recyclable food containers are rinsed out before going in bin.
Situate bin in a shaded part of garden if possible.

I do all the above and never have flies.

Thanks all. I've ordered a lovely (cheaper!) willow screen and will be keeping the bins clean.
