I am in the process of decluttering and am making good progess so far.

I have had the council take away some stuff, some things for free others for a payment, have got rid of lots of clothes etc to charity shops, most things that are good enough to be reused or recycled have now gone.

I now have a number of cupboards to empty and have got a bit "stuck" in my progress and thought a hippo bag might be the solution. I live in Cardiff does any one know if they collect from here, I've also seen something called a Bee Bag which seems much cheaper. The kinds of things I need to get rid of now are broken toys, furniture and crockery, stuff that is not in a good enough condition to donate anywhere Are these items suitable for Hippo etc, it's not diy or gardening waste so I'm not sure

According to their website they collect "anywhere on the mainland apart from very remote areas" so I think you're covered in Cardiff! They take household waste so I would assume your stuff would fall into that category. It's chemical waste, electrical products etc that they won't take.

I've had 2. One a few years ago when we had our kitchen done. Once the old kitchen was in it I filled the gaps with random crap I wanted rid of. They took it all quite happily.

I got another one in the summer. I filled it with a couple of broken beds with mattresses, broken toys, garden stuff, etc. It was a great way of getting rid of all that stuff without multiple trips to the tip (I would never have been able to fit the beds/mattresses into my little car anyway).

@MsMamaNature Thank you. I found a company called BeeBags who cover Cardiff and are about £30 cheaper so I think I will go with them.
@MsAwesomeDragon. That is good to know! thanks for your reply
