Hello all! Its my first pregnancy and I'm trying to get my head around everything.
Can anyone tell me which fabric conditioner I ought to use on my babies clothes (or am I supposed to use one at all??!)
So hard to know which one to choose and why - how did you go about it?
Any thoughts hugely appreciated.

Entirely up to you. I use comfort pure.

ktmoomoo · 03/07/2007 16:22

fairy or comfort pure

WaynettaWiggumSpice · 03/07/2007 16:23

Comfort Pure here too, as is non-bio.

nailpolish · 03/07/2007 16:25

its not necessary

use fairy washing powder for babies skin.

LilRedWG · 03/07/2007 16:26

I used Comfort Pure but even that affected DD's skin and she came out in a spotty rash. Now I put white distilled vinegar and lavedner oil in her nappy wash and occassionally in with her clothes/bedding too. The vinegar softens and the oil smells nice

Fairy or Comfort Pure for me too.

Ecover.

moondog · 03/07/2007 20:13

Steer clear of chemical crap as much as poss.
They don't need anything in their baths either and i will personally come and shoot you if your use that pink gloop known as 'baby lotion.'

fizzbuzz · 03/07/2007 20:39

But Moondog, how do you get them clean if you can't use anything at bathtime?

I know current advice is not to use anything, but personally I found plain water pretty useless at keeping dd clean

OldieMum · 03/07/2007 20:41

Ecover - no nasties in it.

funnypeculiar · 03/07/2007 20:41

Blimey, I never even thought about using fabric conditioner...more of an excema risk, I thought
(And don't use anything in baths still, and ds is 3 1/2 ... he manages to get fairly clean...
