That's my question!

What for?

Because I can't find the design I want (to make a very loud pair of trousers) so I thought I might try tie-dying some plain white ploycotton.

Google Dylon and look on the website - they do various dyes, suitable for different fabrics.

Yes you can - but the colour might be a bit lighter than it would be on cotton.

So I wouldn't get the same vibrancy as I would with cotton, but could still use the same tie-dye techniques?

Make sure you wash it first, at least one wash, if not two because poly cotton has a sort of coating on it that will resist the dye.

(ah GCSE textiles did hae some use!)
