toilets with running water...

does anyone know if it is possible to have in the uk the sort of toilet that you get in some countries where it is like a bidet as well, so it has running water in it that you press on and off as required? one person i asked said that they think this would have to be connected to the mains for the correct pressure so the risk of contamination would be too great so they don't think it is allowed in the uk. but can anyone tell me differently?

Wouldn't that use loads of water?

Can you imagine your water bills?

Isn't that how rows of urinals in public toilets work?
Do you really want that in your house?

no it doesn't use lots because it isn't on all the time... i pay a fixed amount but ummm see what you mean

is this what you're thinking of? or would it be a suitable substitute?

You can get them for people with mobility problems - like this?

thanks so much for these suggestions. what i am looking for is a bit like the inbuilt 'shower' one - but without the mobility toilet... i haven't found anything like this so far so am very grateful to you all!
