Silicone sponge or similar

Looking for a more environmentally-friendly alternative to washing up sponges. Have seen silicone 'sponges' with loads of little soft bristles which look like they'd last for ages but seem to have love/hate reviews so not sure if they're any good! Anyone use these or another alternative that you'd recommend?

I've seen those and am interested if they actually "scrub" or are more of a wiping action? They look to flimsy tome to do any proper cleaning!!

I bought a lovely Ralph Lauren red rugby style shirt with a white collar. Washed it as per instructions but collar now has a pink tinge. Any suggestions for getting this out or have I blown it?

I use a coconut fibre scrubber for pans and old fashioned cotton or linen dishcloths which can be machine washed and last ages.

@lll77 @MsMamaNature How long do those natural sponges /coconut scrubber last? Really after something 'scrubby' - happy to use and wash cloths for the sides etc.

@Yorkbloke Oh, when I started reading your post I was intrigued as to why a Ralph Lauren shirt was so good for cleaning dishes! Sorry can't help with your problem.

We have coconut fibre scrubbies and they seem to last OK.
Loofahs are supposed to be good too and you can grow your own!

One side is for scrubbing (sisal), the other would be more like a traditional sponge. I have had mine (twin pack) for well over a month and no problems so far. They are machine washable - I put mine inside a small laundry bag designed for bras and wash them along with my tea towels.

This one is also good and lasts for months. It is biodegradable and can be composted afterwards.

I've been using a coconut scrub for a few weeks and it looks exactly as it did when I bought it. I reckon it will last a long time.

I don't have a dishwasher, so everything gets washed up by hand here.
