Bed bugs help! Gross photos attached

My best friend has just called me to let me know that she's found something in her bed. Unbeknown to me about two months ago she had her bedroom treated for bed bugs - or that is what the exterminator called them. She has now found this - is it a bed bug? On closer inspection she thinks there are dead bedbugs on the floor underneath her bed. I'm assuming this is the same thing but have no idea so I'm posting on here. Also she says she has not been bitten so what looks like blood on the sheets might be squashed bedbugs?? Sorry I said it was revolting.

Reading up on this it looks like sometimes 2 or 3 treatments are needed to get rid and if one treated has not worked I'm tempted to advise just to chuck the mattress and buy new although it will be expensive.

Any ideas?? Thanks

We treated the room and got a new bed, haven't seen them since or been bitten

oh dear she has just spent £1200 on a new bed she had saved all year for.:( Has had mattress and bedframe treated once but look like they are still there.

DId you have a frane or a divan and chucked the whole lot? Thanks.

Omg

I had a divan and got rid of the that and the mattress. Had no problems since

100% bed bugs. The uk had an epidemic of them at the moment. You can buy wraps for your mattress and your bed frame that could be an alternative for getting rid of her bed. Even the recommended 3 treatments doesn't have a guaranteed success rate.

Oh and she has been bitten, that is what the blood is. Bed bugs are very fragile so rolling over in bed squashes then and leaves your blood behind. Majority of people don't have visible bites. Some people get flat, light pink bites that you can only see in certain lights/temperatures, only a few get itchy more visible bites.

That is bad, I watched a programme once and it terrified me. Very difficult to get rid of and they spread throughout the house, get in to clothes and everything.
