Hi! Do Scratchless INDUCTION HOBS exist? Does anyone have an induction hob that does not scratch? Or, know how to avoid scratching them when using and cleaning?

Not what you're asking but I'd go for a gas job every time Wink

Thanks, but, I live where there's no gas grid. I can't see anything decent in LPG cookers or hobs, and the cleaning of gas hobs has always driven me mad. Smooth top sounds brilliant but not if they all look tatty after a while (or immediately!). Also, I have solar power for my electricity. Thanks, anyway :-)

I’ve never had a problem with induction hobs or other ceramic hobs. Yes they may get a few scratches but generally speaking it hasn’t been a problem. You have to use smooth bottomed pans for the best connectivity, so that’s probably why they’ve been ok.

We’ve had our induction hob for 3 years, used every day at least once and it’s not marked at all. We have a neff one with a Ceran Schott (?) label on it, they are supposed to be very good. A new pan did mark it once and I never used the pan again but I used barkeepers friend cream on the hob and thankfully it came up as good as new.
