Mouse in ceiling... how do I get rid?

It's driving me mad! I can hear it scratching above my head but I can't get to it. A few months ago i found mouse dropping in the loft. I put both traps and poison down and it didn't touch either. The weather got cold and the central heating came on. The mouse has clearly decided to move a floor down. It is now under my bedroom floor boards/above my living room ceiling. I can hear it scratching every night. It's driving me mad. Is the only option to rip up my bedroom carpet and floor boards or does anyone have any other suggestions?

You can get noise things that are meant to keep them away but dont know how far away it can be. May be an option?

I love how people like to think they just have one mouse!

Is it possible to lift some boards under carpet to lay traps? IME the sonic plug in things are useless.

We had the same problem, got a plug-in repellant and it worked straight away.

Unfortunately we have extensive rodent experience.
It's unlikely to be just one mouse 🐁 , although we did have a solo one arrive recently.
Traps - the mice run alongside stuff, wall, joists, etc sturdy metal traps, baited with chocolate if you can bait & then retrieve them for disposal (first trap is tough, it gets easier)
Poison - blue food, put into inaccessible spots, lift a floor board. Dead mice will smell but fade before Xmas if you get a shift on. Dead rats are very strong.

Seal up any access points for the future.

Dont go soft, time to get medieval on their arses.
