Tumble dryer problem

Marmitemadmummy · 21/11/2018 17:47

We bought a tumble dryer today due to my DH moaning about washing everywhere (in one place upstairs Smile) anyway... I've put some washing in and an hour later it's still cold. The clothes don't seem to be drying quickly but the condenser does have water in it. It is going round.

Does anyone else have the AEG 8000? Do you clothes come out dry even though your machine feels cold? Wondering if I am being impatient!

Thanks

Do you mean the clothes are cold? I imagine they're warm if water is evaporating?

GooodMythicalMorning · 21/11/2018 18:08

It definitely should be warm by that time. Maybe its faulty

Does it have the SensiDry function? If so, that may be why it feels cold. It is designed to dry your clothes using lower temperatures which they claim is better for the fibres in your clothes but it does, as a result, take longer. The fact that water has collected in the condenser indicates that it is drying your clothes (just not very quickly!)

If it's a heat pump one they take longer, but are better got the environment and your clothes.

Thank you, it was the heat pump and my fault. I had opened the door a couple of times to see if warm as DH kept asking and apparently if it's a heat pump it then takes longer to get warm Smile
