Chipped plates-just bin?

Is there anything I can do with a load of chipped plates apart from bin them?

It just seems a bit of a waste.

Drainage for plant pots?
Or fill in the chips with filler and let dc decorate them for Christmas decs?

Your local tip might have a place for them to be recycled? Not sure if they go in with the toilets and bricks?

Smash them up (wear eye protection) and use them as crocks for drainage when planting things up.

They can go in with hardcore at your local tip.

are the chips around the edges? I've had success using this kit www.moraapproved.com/products/humade-the-new-kintsugi-diy-repair-kit to mend all kinds of ceramics inc the chipped edges of plates.

Our council say to wrap in newspaper and black sack them.

Does your local scouts/brownies maybe have a crockery breaking game they put on at a fayre? Maybe they'd like them?

For chipped bowls, not plates, I use them as pet water bowls. I can see guess eyeballing Hmm the identical bowls arriving on the table. I do point out that no chip=human use.
