Might certainly doesn't and I'm after some inspiration so that I can create something that does!
Anyone willing to show us theirs?

Thrown into a box in cupboard under stairs 😄

Eeeeek2 · 19/11/2018 15:36

I third the Joseph Joseph stacking set and recycled the rest.

There's a lot of crap on the top of my fridge and I have very limited cupboard space. I might start a thread about how to deal with that at some point. I could put a storage box on top of the fridge to keep all my sistema in.

Threesocks · 19/11/2018 16:50

I now store all boxes with their lids on - saves me searching for them every time I need them. Takes up more storage space but I am generally less irritated by the whole Tupperware cupboard now!

48l Really Useful Box on top of our fridge freezer. Obviously only works if you have a free-standing one! When I upgraded to this I threw out a load of old tubs that weren't proper food storage containers (ricotta cheese tubs etc) but have since refilled with the Sistema screw top tubs... And it's fit to bursting again 😭

VeniVidiViciTwice · 19/11/2018 18:34

I bought two lots of stacking Tupperware sets, the lids can go on the boxes and be stacked inside each other - no more lost lids. I consider that a win as far as Tupperware goes!

VeniVidiViciTwice · 19/11/2018 18:37

Oh and I got one lot from Wilkos and the other set I think was from home bargains - paid less than £10 for the two sets and I have ones small enough to use as a snack pot, one large enough for a cake with 3/4 layers and various sizes in between.

I'm on a cupboard cleaning a tidying mission this weekend. Wish me luck. I have a corner cupboard where the access to it is about 25cm wide. It goes back about 75cm so is really difficult to put to good use. I use it for pans and baking trays and roasting dishes/Pyrex but struggle to get anything in or out. Need a rethink.

zucchinieggplant · 24/11/2018 08:52

Perverse are you me?! I have similar issues with a corner cupboard that I throw baking trays into and hope for the best. It has swingy-round shelves but they are really stiff so don't come out properly, and because they are curved nothing square (like roasting tins and baking trays) fit in them!
My question for people with beautiful stacking Tupperware is - what happened when you inevitably lose a bit? Or do you not lose them (because they are so expensive?)

Mama90 · 24/11/2018 09:21

I have a Tupperware drawer since a couple of months ago and it's LIFE CHANGING! I threw out everything that was mismatched, so now I have two sizes. They're stacked inside each other in two piles, and the lids sit next to them in two stacks. Neat and tidy and easy to keep that way! I don't know how I coped before. Grin

PerverseConverse · 24/11/2018 10:19

I mean wtf am I supposed to do with this excuse of a cupboard? It goes back to the right about 75cm maybe less

Ugh, we have one of those corner cupboards too. I don't even know what's in it anymore - I haven't opened it in a good few months. Why do they exist!!

megletthesecond · 24/11/2018 10:37

Mine isn't perfect but I always store them with the lids on.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 24/11/2018 11:19

I had to haul all the crap out of my boiler cupboard and found 3 bags of Tupperware. Most of it doesn’t match! How can’t this happen (like odd socks). I’m going to go through the whole lot and have a good old clear out (and promise never to but any more).

PerverseConverse · 24/11/2018 11:22

Storing with lids on makes them smell I find

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 24/11/2018 11:28

Stops them getting lost though!

OnlyTeaForMe · 24/11/2018 11:52

I refuse to buy any nice JosephJoseph or similar, because DH just ruins them within days by putting them in the dishwasher with curry or tomato sauce covered plates, and everything gets that horrible orange glow to it Angry

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 24/11/2018 11:57

Oil. Get some of that spray oil and put a squirt in the Tupperware bowl before you put in food with tomatoes in it. It stops it going orange (which also drives me mad).

PerverseConverse · 24/11/2018 17:00

Ta da! It's as good as it's going to get.

I got the whole tatty lot we had, threw in the bin and bought new from Lakeland. They are colour coded so you know what lid fits what, and they all stack inside each other. I wish to god I'd done it years ago - every f*ing morning I had to stand and listen as they all fell out the cupboard when DH & DDs are doing their lunch to take to work.

It's been life changing, seriously. We have 2/3 in more or less every size.
