Condensation on windows

I live on the ground floor of a building from the 1800s. It’s been restored extensively and it really isn’t a damp feeling flat.

Every morning since the weather has gone colder, the sash windows (wooden) have been soaking wet. I clean them off.

Would one of those Minky damp proof things work or do I need an actual dehumidifier?

We use a tumble dryer to dry clothes mainly and the flat has extractor fans.

Window karcher is your friend!

You just need to air the flat and keep it warm. Open the windows each morning and maybe also dry off the condensation to avoid it going back into the air.

I second the Karcher window vacuum - we're in a draughty Victorian property and it's been my winter saviour against the condensation.

Thanks - I open the windows every morning when I wake up and we have the heating on in the evening.

Well I put some salt bowls on the windowsills yesterday - lo and behold, the windows were dry this morning!
