Dripping candles

Bit of a funny ask - but I am desperately seeking some white taper candles that are not ‘non-drip’ - I can only find non drip anywhere! I have saved a lovely gin bottle and had visions of the wax dripping down the side so I could feel like I was in a French cafe, but no - every candle I have tried just disappears into thin air and I am left once more gazing at an empty gin bottle! Does anyone have any recommendations? Do I need to look for a certain type of wax? Thanks in advance Grin

Could you create the drip effect? I have fond memories of obe of the many craft projects my mum dreamed up.

We used a pack of multicoloured birthday cake candles and dripped it from the neck of a wine bottle, down the sides.

Cant imagine parents giving the kids free rein with lit candles nowdays but we enjoyed it.

You have to create it. I had a Chianti bottle back in the day and whiled away a lot of time tipping the candles to get a food effect.

Good effect!

Ah thanks all... I was hoping I could get an ‘authentic’ (read easy) effect if I just got the right type of candle. I will work on creating the effect by hand!

I have some from an online company- Shiva Experience. Brilliant on Mateus Rosé bottles for that 70s vibe.
Really cheap as well

What about just standard household candles, are they all non drip now too?

Tallow candies are drippy af but I’m not sure you can get them these days.
