Rubber gloves that last!

I don't know why this is so difficult! I don't do excessive amounts of housework and increasingly I find myself getting holes in the fingers of my rubber gloves. I'm sick of replacing them as I'm trying to cut down on plastic waste.

Do I need industrial strength rubber gloves? Any ideas or recommendations? I can't believe how boring a post this is but it's really irritating me and wondered if I am somehow buying substandard ones or I'm wearing them out too quickly?

I wear them whenever using chemicals apart from soap, and so don't expect them to last all that long. The trouble with the really thick ones is that they don't have much sensitivity, as the bishop said to the actress.

My nails seem to cut through the top of the thinner washing up gloves, so I buy really cheap ones from Sainsburys (Tesco changed theirs and they are absolute rubbish now) or the thick rubber gloves usually described as 'tough'.

I have sensitive skin, so need to wear washing up gloves for housework. I've found Sainsbury's Non-Latex Gloves the best and they last months. In fact, they very rarely get holes in them and I only throw them away when they get a bit smelly! I think they are around £2.10 a pair.

I wear non latex ones too and they seem to last longer than rubber gloves.
