How do you remove mound from your washer seal?

We have been kindly gifted a great washer as ours went kaput after being a workhorse for the last few years.

It’s got a bit of mould in the seal which I’m keen to remove but nothing I used on my previous washer touched the stuff!

If you have any tips, please send them my way. TIA.

You can buy sterilising granules from Wilkos in the beer / wine making section , about £2 for a tub , dissolve a cap full ( about a tablespoon ) in very hot water , soak a cloth or kitchen towel in the solution and place it where needed every now and then pour a little more of the solution over the cloth / kitchen towel and leave over night .
Do not breath the steam in it is quite harsh ( but will not damage the rubber )

HG mould remover spray should do the job within 30 minutes. 😊

Footnote , you may not have to leave ti over night its just that i can not be arsed checking every 15 mins to see if it has worked .
This steriliser is great for assorts, seals on fridge freezers, stained Tupperware, plastic chopping boards , wooden ones to but don't leave them in the solution to long or they go whiteish ( doesn't damage them just changes the colour ) . DO NOT use on metal , I ruined a stainless steel roasting tray by spilling some on it Halloween Angry
