Any ideas? Ashamed to say I haven't done it in a loooong time. It's greasy and needs a good clean. What's the best way to do it?

I think soda crystals are the best for this. Put the the filters in the sink with diluted soda crystals (very hot water), and just keep scrubbing with a washing up brush. Rinse several times, and leave to dry for a day or 2.

Oh wow. Thanks for that. I asked DH to fill the sink with 2 kettles worth of water and throw in some soda crystals. I asked him to throw the things in and I would give them a scrub once kids were in bed. By the time I got downstairs they were super clean. I gave them a quick scrub and washed with washing up liquid and they are back up looking cleaner than ever. Thanks for that.

Soak in the bath, then rinse off with the shower head.

Assuming it’s removable, dishwasher! I do it with mine regularly

What are soda crystals (not in the UK)?
I put mine in the dishwasher.

lackingimagination · 13/10/2018 18:10

Dishwasher!

cookiesaurus · 13/10/2018 19:08

I did mine this week after signing up to TOMM - washing powder in the sink / bath to soak to degrease them and then stick them in the dishwasher! No scrubbing required at all!!!

Mine are now sparkling! Even my husband was impressed!

Cobrider · 13/10/2018 19:08

When mine was installed the kitchen fitter said they can go in the dishwasher.

pamplemoussed · 13/10/2018 19:09

I put mine in the dishwasher too
