Storing baby clothes in loft.....

Hi all

We're just about to move house (argh) and I want to store DD's baby clothes in the loft. I've looked at plastic crates (too bulky to go up ladder) and vaccum bags, does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks x

We've got all our baby clothes in the loft in 49L "Tuffcrates" made by Contico. Basically they're sorage boxes with built in hinged lids. They stack easily and make a good sturdy tower! We got them from Focus (they were £7 each, but I've seen them in Argos since. They fit through our loft hatch easily but can be heavy fully loaded- a job for my dh! Would your removal men put them up there for you? Good luck with the move by the way, hope it's not too stressful

Hi Mango, thanks for the idea, will have a look.

NEVER moving house again - far too bloody stressful especially with nightmare estate agents!

Dust bin bags?? I guess it depends how long you want to store them for and therefore the risk of moths etc but that's what we do. Bag them up, label with the size and stuff them in the gaps!

Suitcases under the bed?

OhNo40 · 07/06/2007 15:25

Suitcases which you no longer use, "weekend bags" which are too small since you've had DD, those storage bags you can get from Lakeland which are meant for spare bedding.

The vacuum bags are really good because they keep stuff dust-free and dry - but you do need to be careful not to puncture them, because they're not cheap!
