Adapting an ikea kitchen to fit a tumble dryer in the cupboard

Just wondering if anyone can help. Baby no 2 on the way and will defo be needing a tumble dryer this time around! I have an end kitchen cupboard that I'm willing to sacrifice for the space. The space inside the cupboard isnt high enough to fit a tumble dryer in so I'm either going to have to take the bottom out/cut part of it out? Or get a replacement cupboard from Ikea altogether (dreading that to be honest!) Got solid wooden worktops and can imagine it being a nightmare to do. Can anyone offer any advice about the best way of doing it? Tried to find info on ikea website and no joy there. TIA!

You will need a few skills.
Are the cupboards on legs? Is the dryer condenser (no exhaust) have you power available in the cupboard?

Yes I think there are legs on the cupboard but they are currently hidden. I haven't bought the dryer yet but was thinking of not going for a condenser one (but will do if that is the better option!) There isn't power in the cupboard at the moment but a socket is available above it that I could somehow try and use?

Even integrated appliances will be too tall to fit inside the carcass so the whole cupboard would be best taken out completely so you can have a free standing dryer.

Condenser dryer has a draw that collects the water, vented blows it out through a vent pipe that needs to go outside.

It's possible but a bit of huffing and puffing.
Depends how much of a project you fancy. Grin
