How much would you pay for a spring clean?

Two small double rooms, one box room, tiny bathroom and kitchen, front room, lounge, box conservatory.

We moved in in October and it was never cleaned properly beforehand. It's fairly clean but I can't get rid of the dust. The floorboards are caked in it. I'm heavily pregnant and DP is too busy with work and childcare to clean the whole thing with me without being totally knackered.

Any ideas on what I should pay ish considering the house is pretty clean, just in need of a bit of extra love re nooks and crannies?!

I have recently paid for a "deep clean", and it took the cleaner 4 hours to do 3 bedrooms, family bathroom, 2 living rooms, downstairs loo and utility area. I paid her £10 p/h and it was worth every penny!

I was thinking of asking him/her to just do the non carpeted rooms as we don't need help with the bedrooms (they're so easy to clean takes 5 mins!)

So actually it would just be kitchen, conservatory, lounge, front room, bathroom...

@HereForTheLaughs sounds very reasonable!

I've just had a quote from a company in Surrey - spring clean package = £179 + VAT or a straightforward per hour clean x 8 hours for £128 + VAT.

I asked what the difference was and on the spring clean package they put flowers and a candle in!! Hardly worth an extra £50!! Hmm

Through my neighbours, I've managed to find a cleaner who comes recommended but she's on holiday for 3 weeks.

I'm also pregnant so I'm at the point where it's easier to just pay someone to deep clean it before the baby comes along!

It was £100 for mine, 3 bed semi with carpet (stairs and landing) and oven clean. They sent two cleaners and took them around 6 hours. Was thrilled with how it looked! It wasn't particularly awful to begin with but working parents with two small kids doesn't leave a lot of time to clean so it just built up! Worth every penny!

Green that’s barely just over minimum wage.

Round here people pay £10ph for a cleaner, and many would happily come and do a 'one off' for you.
If you don't need the bedrooms doing then it would only take them a couple of hours as a 'regular' clean, so even if they did twice that (not convinced they would need it) it would still only be £40 for you.

I'm a cleaner and it would take about five hours I would think.
I recently did a cottage that was caked in dust and massive cobwebs.
Very satisfying to see it gleaming Smile

@JiltedJohnsJulie that's how much they charged me. They said 4 hours at first but it took 6.

And will have included a lunch break
