I'm so tempted but wanted to here from you guys whether they are any good

There's one on offer for prime day, mega reviews but I'm a review sceptic at times.

I bought the eufy 11 about two weeks ago. I LOVE IT. Genuinely the best house purchase we’ve ever made. It can be scheduled (and is quiet enough to run downstairs overnight) or I just put it in a room and leave it to potter about. All of my rooms are getting vacuumed about three times as often as they were. It also has a spot clean mode so I can stick it under the table after the kids have eaten for example and it sorts the mess. It’s also brilliant for getting the kids to pick up toys off the floor as I give them a 5 min warning otherwise they’ll get sucked up 😂

I bought one about 2 years ago. Used it about 10 times and then left it plugged in too long and the battery died (apparently a common fault).
It wasn't bad when it was working, just like a carpet sweeper to get surface bits up.
I'd leave it in a room going but it did tend to get stuck in places, the bristles got mangled quickly on carpet, it would be better on a wooden floor than carpet.
You can't beat a vacuum for picking up especially if you have pets.

I've always wondered how well they actually work, I guess a lot depends on which one you get.

This one, £90 off today.

Eufy RoboVac 11c, Smart Wi-Fi Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, High Suction, Weekly Cleanin... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0769G8BC2/ref=cmswwrsmsscapii_eUztBbX9EY52D

So so tempted

That one is the same as mine except for mine doesn’t have the WiFi element.

Ours works brilliantly on hard floors and carpet - including getting all the car hair off the carpets. It’s got stuck on two wires but nothing else - it manages transitions on off carpets/rugs/thick doormats surprisingly well. Do it!

I've got a simple Roomba model which I bought after seeing it recommended on here. I absolutely love it, it's sort of changed my life - tried countless conventional vacuum cleaners over the years but this is the only one for me - if it breaks I'm replacing it the same day!

I honestly don't think you'd be disappointed.

Aw indeed that's great to know.

Just treated myself :)

Ive got a Roomba - had it about 3 years now. Used regularly and left on charge constantly. I empty it after each use, as its quick and simple. It did seem to not be picking up great after a couple of years but then changed all the filters/brushes and it works fab again. Love it.

I have wood flooring and Lino the entire downstairs. I'm sick of sweeping and steaming all day long. Always wondered if they work properly and actually keep the floors crumb free. Do they get in corners too? And do they actually finish the whole room before going somewhere else?

I had a neato botvac. It was a brilliant device but a very unreliable model and was replaced 3 times under warranty before amazon gave up and offered me a full refund. I couldn't live without a robot hoover anymore so bought a xiaomi model. It is amazeballs, I can't recommend it enough and was less than half the price of the neato. I bought direct from China, took about a month to arrive but significantly cheaper than buying from the UK.

spudfield · 18/07/2018 19:25

The neato and the xiaomi scan the room(s) they can get into and make a map of the room. They then hoover it systematically in a grid pattern and reach the corners. Means if you open all the doors you can leave it to do all of downstairs or upstairs (assuming you have no steps between rooms, xiaomi also doesn't like black carpet, it thinks it's a hole)

I also have a Eufy vacuum that I bought last year. It runs great, and I have no complaints.
