HELP!! How to get rid of smell of cat p*e

Been away for weekend and my front porch seems to be smelling of cats pee.
I've mopped with dettol but still seems to be smelling, albeit not as strong - anyone any other ideas on what best to use to get rid?
PS Not sure of it is cat, but certainly smells like it...

Not sure what to use, but if a cat is using it as a convenient toilet, you need to discourage the cat or you'll never get rid of the smell......you can get sprays at the garden centre for deterring cats, or pepper is supposed to be quite effective.

We had an old tomcat who used to use our back porch and it really smelled, especially after it had rained, so I know how unpleasant it is.

Good Luck!!

Don't use anything with ammonia in it as it's too close to the cat's natural smell and it'll come back!

Any other advice? 3 mops outs of dettol later and it still smells

Someone posted about this recently, and the consensus was to use biological washing detergent diluted with water. Make sure it's properly dissolved, then spray liberally around the affected area. I have put it to the test, and it does work, although not instantly - takes an hour or so, and you need to spray a lot. Apparently(dons white coat), the enzymes in the detergent break down the smelly compounds in the cat wee, which is why it has to be biological powder.

Using equal parts of white vinegar & hot water should do the trick.

If it is extra strong smelling wee and it lingers beyond advice here, buy a spray from the vets which can help to neutralise it.
