10kg washing machines that spin at full speed on quick wash cycles - any recommendations?

I loathe and despise my washing machine. It's a lying fuck. Bought it after being lured in by the promise of a 1600 spin and a 30 minute wash cycle but actually it only does a 1600 spin on washes that take 2 hours or more Angry

Luckily the fucker is broken and I'm in a position to buy a new one. So to avoid the same mistake.... I'm asking for MN help! My criteria are:

  • 10kg drum (maybe 9kg if all other criteria met)
  • MUST have fully variable spin speed and temperature even on quick washes (this doesn't seem to be obvious information from blurb or from looking at them!)
  • timer must actually tell the truth instead of insisting the wash is only going to take 30 minutes and actually then taking over an hour Angry
  • under £500

I went back to currys yesterday . They didn't quibble at all just said if your not happy with the machine change it. The change over of machines will be on the 27th. I have ordered a Samsung 1400 spin 8kg load. So let's see

My 3 year old 9kg Hoover Dynamic Next 1600 spins the quick washes at 1200, if anything heavy is in it though it jumps and bangs about, so a bit crap really. It was quite cheap though

Has anyone got a list of models for a quickwash with variable or maximum spin speeds.

Ive just bought a Bosch Series 6 and just found that the 15 and 30 min wash doesnt do a 1400 spin which is a massive step back from my old whirlpool that i had for 12 years...

I was just reading this thinking the same. I've got a 10kg Samsung Eco bubble and quick wash 15/30 mins only spins at 800. There's no 'separate' spin only rinse and spin which takes 25 minutes - making the quick wash redundant as shortest normal cycle with full spin is an hour. I've had the machine over 3 years and never thought to Google whether I can override the options to do an extra spin. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It took me 2 minutes to find out I can! So I can now do a 15 min wash with an 800 spin but then add an extra 1200 spin that takes 6 minutes.
A short wash with full spin would be great but I can't justify a new washing machine and I'm happy with my new discovery.

Whoops! Didn't realise this was an old thread - I'm sure it was in 'active'.
