End of tenancy cleaning

Hi, I'm needing to do an end of tenancy clean for a relative and I'm looking for advice on what to buy to cover all rooms. Won't need to clean the carpets though. Thanks!

Do you mean cleaning products? I would try to use a multi purpose product, or you'll be spending a lot of money.
I suppose it depends how grimy the place is.
White vinegar spray will clean lots of surfaces like glass, furniture and woodwork. multi purpose cleaner (Stardrop is great) can be used in kichen, bathroom and on floors. Bleach will clean loo and plugholes etc.

I’d recommend the Doktor Power cleaning sponges for scuff marks on walls etc.

Clean the washing machine - including detergent drawer.
Also dishwasher, fridge and oven.
Check curtains for obvious stains in case they need cleaning.
If possible, check the tenancy agreement on condition the property needs to be left in.
Hope this helps.

Magic erasers are good for cleaning walls and tiles. Glass cloth is brilliant on glass.
Baby oil is good on stainless steel.

Thanks everyone, added those things to my list- esp baby oil and stardrops, used to love stardrops. Hadn't even thought of dishwasher or washing machine!

Agreed with detergent drawer (I empathise, have done this end of tenancy clean on way too many houses now!) Remember also to check all lightbulbs work and replace if not. Shower heads and grout should be mould free, you can buy magic pens to cover it up. Work surfaces, taps and basins really have to be sparkly shining. Up to you how far you go with it, it's not easy, but some landlords or agents will find fault in anything and then deduct an extortionate hourly cleaners rate from your deposit!

Did your relative have inventory photos when they moved in? I recommend taking detailed photos before you leave, really helpful if any disputes over deposit.

cotton buds and baby wipes are also useful.

I run a cleaning business and the best thing for all grimy woodwork is Ariel washing liquid with warm water... also use zoflora for sinks and floors...

CharlieBoo that is a fab tip, thank you very much!

Cotton buds are on my list too, cleaning mission happens tomorrow morning.
