I second e cloths, they're great. Make window cleaning so much easier. You can get them on Amazon.

ParadiseLaundry · 05/06/2018 07:28

Yes, definitely an ecloth, although Wilko do a really good selection of micro fibre cloths for a good price.

Instead of water I use half water, half vinegar and a few drops of essential oil. The oil helps remove dirt and the vinegar makes it nice and shiny and it smells great. Zoflora in a spray bottle has the same effect.

I have just looked up ecloths on amazon. How have i never heard of these? The reviews are amazing. Will be ordering some. Thanks for the tip

Windolene! It's in s bright pink bottle and you have to shop around for it as its hard to get hold of! I have found it in small hardware shops and sometimes in Homebase. Make sure u shake the bottle well put it on with kitchen roll and use a cloth to rub off straight away-good for windows and mirrors. Quite a distinctive smell that not everyone likes but I love it! A bottle lasts ages as u don't need much.

E cloths all the way. You supposed to use just water, but if the windows are grimy - kitchen windows can get a film of grease on them for example, Stardrops with ammonia is great for degreasing them.

I use white vinegar spray from Savers or pound shop and a Home Bargains glass cloth. The glass cloth is excellent and cost 39p.
Clean windows on a dull day.

Brilliant tips. I have a good shopping list to be going with now.

You don't need to use much window cleaner. Use a little to begin with.
If you wipe horizontally on one side and vertically on the other, it's easier to locate the smears.

Lidl do a brilliant glass cleaner. I wash with water and liquid detergent first. When dry spray with the glass cleaner and buff with a non fluffy t towel. Smells nice too.

I picked up a window cleaner in aldi today. Absolutely brilliant. Used it with a microfibre cloth and then buffed the window after with another. It took seconds. Its a 5 in 1 window and glass foam. Green bottle. No smears at all. Very impressed.
