How to prevent manky bathroom tiles?

Can anyone recommend something to clean/spray on bathroom wall tiles that helps to prevent the grout going manky? Our entire bathroom is tiled and the area just around the shower gets properly grim with black mould in the grouting. I've just spent another couple of hours this morning scrubbing them clean and used an entire bottle of cif mould and mildew remover to do it! I can still taste the fumes I am sure, my t-shirt is ruined and my eyes have been stinging all day! I'm not opposed to a bit of chemical use but fuck me, that stuff was harsh. I'd love to know of something more gentle; even better something natural (white vinegar perhaps?) that I could use to wipe them down once or twice a week ideally that would help prevent it coming back. As it always does. I don't quite understand why really as the window in there is open almost all the time Confused so it gets plenty of ventilation.

Over to you wise MNers.

Are they white tiles? We battle the black mound by putting bits of kitchen roll (rolled up into sausage shapes) soaked in bleach against the mouldy bits. It's not 'gentle' but you just leave them for 24+ hours and then remove (and repeat as necessary). It works wonders.

Don't use on coloured tiles as they'll bleach the colour away obviously.

Dettol Mould and Mildew remover is a miracle in a bottle.
Spray it on, leave for 5 minutes and rinse off.

Yes the HG spray is brilliant.

There is an extractor fan but it doesn't work; it stopped spinning a while ago and the LL didn't think it was a priority to fix/replace Sad

I've got a Karcher which I use on the shower screen but it seems a bit of a bigger job that I would have liked to do the tiles with it daily too!

The tiles themselves are white and blue so the bleach soaked kitchen towel might not be a good idea?

Thanks for all the mould & mildew recommendations but I really did want to try and find something less harsh if possible but maybe there just isn't anything...

I find that scrubbing with lemon juice does the trick to remove mold/stains. I tend to wipe our bathroom down every evening after everyone is finished to keep on top of it. It's one of those jobs that can't be avoided...

I get a toothbrush and use bleach and bicarbonate of soda to make a paste to rub on the grouting. I then scrub with the toothbrush and rinse the next morning

How much bleach to how much bicarb?

Not a good idea in that case!

We also use this spray which is fairly natural:

It won't remove a large mound build-up but does seem to reduce it coming back.

@wicked I just do 50/50. Don’t need loads, maybe just 1/4 of a cup full
