It looks yellow and gross! I live in a hard water area. How can i get rid of it? I tried bleach, Bang! Limescale and grime and limescale removal solution (own supermarket) left for 10 mins then scrubbed with a scourer. Its marginally better but most still there. Help!

Are you removing most of the water first?

Scoop the water out and leave Limelite on for at least half an hour.

Spirit of salts. Do not inhale it is seriously potent stuff (also do not use on Chrome fittings etc)

Plunge the water out with the toilet brush then put limescale remover in over night.

The key is getting the water out, I use a small plastic cup and empty it into a bucket, then soak up any remaining water with a sponge. When all the water is out put that sponge in the bottom of the toilet bowl.

Put limescale remover all over. Every half hour, glove up (I deliberately buy a bigger size than I need so I can get them on and off easily) and use that sponge to reapply the limescale remover. You will need to do it several times. You should start to see bits of limescale in the bottom of the bowl. Scrub with the scouring side of the sponge.

Keep repeating this until it is gone.
