Best wash powder for "a bit sensitive" skin

I fancy using powder but not sure which is good and all boxes look huge! Tell me your best ones. My boys get a bit itchy with gel but seems to be when I do quick wash so maybe it’s not rinsed well. Go!

Get an eco egg! Much cheaper than powder and excellent for sensitive skin.

Surcare for our atopic family

Redtartanshoes · 25/03/2018 19:30

Fairy non bio works in our house. Unfortunately I think quick wash does mean that the detergent may not be rinsed properly which can irritate the skin

brownelephant · 25/03/2018 19:31

any powder
bio washes best
the less perfume the better

use a long wash cycle which rinses properly

BluebellTheDonkey · 25/03/2018 19:31

Surcare here too. Comes in liquid or powder, both seem to work well.

Ecover

Wh0KnowsWhereTheT1meG0es · 25/03/2018 19:35

There was a new one in Sainsburys this week, can't remember what it was called but there was a whole range in white boxes with "no colouring, no perfume" on them.

ILikeBigBumpsAndICannotLie · 25/03/2018 19:36

Surcare, together with dead sea soap have seen a big reduction in the itching and for eczema patches on the child here. Fairy before but my local pharmacy says they changed something a few years ago so it's not as friendly as it was.

ShowOfHands · 25/03/2018 19:37

Trial and error.

Has to be Persil Non Bio for us. Every other powder makes me sore and brings DD out in a terrible rash. Fairy is the worst ime.

EcoCleaner · 26/03/2018 11:27

Wh0KnowsWhereTheT1meG0es that’s Neurtal. It’s great stuff. Been on sale across Europe for years but only just launched in the U.K. its a proper bio powder but with no perfumes, dyes or optical brighteners that cause irritation.

Mercison · 26/03/2018 11:32

Waitrose sensitve or filetti

surcare and ecover really irritate dds excema

Mercison · 26/03/2018 11:32

and rinse rinse rinse

hot washes

I do an occasionall wash with Sainsburys bio powder on a long wash with extra rinse - all good

oohyoudevilyou · 27/03/2018 08:12

Surf powder for me. Our water isn't hard, so I use about half the recommended amount, and wash at 40 degrees (I find I need more powder at 30). Don't usually use conditioner, but if I do, it's Sainsburys sensitive one.

sandgrown · 27/03/2018 08:16

Fairy or Persil non bio for here . Any bio product causes skin irritation for us.

Veronicat · 27/03/2018 08:20

Asda own sensitive non bio powder works well for my DPs skin.
He can also tolerate the Asda sensitive fabric conditioner.

Prictoriafeckam · 28/03/2018 20:03

Waitrose sensitive.

RingtheBells · 28/03/2018 20:42

I stopped using the quick wash as I felt it wasn’t rising properly so probably that.

PineappleScrunchie · 28/03/2018 20:45

Whatever you use, use less than the recommended amount and do an extra rinse.

ICJump · 28/03/2018 20:52

We have switched to Aldi powder and I’m reallt happy with it. Low smell, works well in cold and I use about 3/4 of the recommended amount.
