Garlic crusher here. I don’t even need to takee off the skin
A game changer for me!

Chickenagain · 18/03/2018 06:49

My Instant Pot
Bean to cup coffee machine
Stick blener

mumsypig14 · 18/03/2018 06:55

Kenwood soupmaker. Takes 20 mins and far less clean up and time than if it was on the hob! Had mine for years and it's one of my most used things.

DinahMo · 18/03/2018 07:00

Nutribullet. As well as making smoothies/fresh sauces I also love the milling blade and use it to grind nuts/spices, make flour mixes from whole grains etc.
Magimix
Crockpot
Kettle. I have one you can chose the temperature to heat to (70, 80, 90, 100) so for herbal teas etc you don’t have to wait for it to cool from boiling.

I am hankering after a dehydrator, as I have an allotment and want to dry my own tomatoes, fruit etc (I know can use oven, but faff).

Follyfoot · 18/03/2018 07:02

Soup maker. Sling everything in and leave it. Come back 21 minutes later to perfectly smooth soup.

Mominatrix · 18/03/2018 07:20

Vitamix - used multiple times a day for smoothies, soups, nut butters, homemade nutella, sauces

Kitchenaid mixer - used for kneading doughs (could never do brioche or bagel dough by hand!), cakes, icing,

The above two are used multiple times a week for a variety of jobs. Toaster and kettle are used multiple times a day, but for the same purpose.

dotdotdotmustdash · 18/03/2018 07:25

Instant boil kettle, I love it.

Wait4nothing · 18/03/2018 07:46

Tassimo - used daily
Electric tin opener (me and dh use traditional ones differently and manage to break them when doing it two ways!)

ivykaty44 · 18/03/2018 07:49

Cafetière
Kettle
Toaster

Paperdolly · 18/03/2018 07:50

Waffle maker £10 from Lidl. 1 egg mixed with a banana until smooth and you've got a healthy flourless mix for it.

Tassimo
Large shortish wide bladed chopping knife.

Not including the kettle, toaster & microwave, I'd say;

  1. DeLonghi bean to cup coffee machine. Is on right now! Used multiple times a day and needs to take a holiday after DH's (French) family come to visit.

  2. Kenwood chef mixer + attachments. Love baking so it's great for that, but the processing and blending attachments mean it's used daily.

  3. BabyNes milk machine. Have 2 at 2 and 9 weeks so this is on a fair bit too. Won't be a permanent fixture obviously.

  4. Bread machine. We use it probably every other day to make loaves and dough.

  5. Multifunctional cooker; does rice, slow cooks etc. Used more in winter.

  6. Tefal pancake grill! It makes 6 small or 1 big at a time. It's a bit of a gadget really and doesn't take up counter space, but it's used pretty regularly. We love crêpes and before DH was tied to the kitchen making them, but this has revolutionised things!

Grumpbum · 18/03/2018 07:53

Kitchen aid and toaster. My nespresso and nutribullet sit unused in the cupboard, must sell at some point

AuContraireStarfishHair · 18/03/2018 07:59

Lids that stop pans boiling over

ivykaty44 · 18/03/2018 08:02

I used to love making bread in my machine, have been thinking about making brioche bread. Still use the machine for pizza dough.

Thing is my dd2 works now as an artisan baker & although I’ve banned her from bring sweet products home she brings breads 😂

Bread makers are ace though

ivykaty44 · 18/03/2018 08:03

Does the nutrabullet make soup?

I move a lot. The only thing I always make sure I have is a mini-chopper. Other stuff I buy as I come across a need for it.

Oh, and the bean to cup coffee maker, but I probably wouldn't class that as a small appliance.

Wh0KnowsWhereTheT1meG0es · 18/03/2018 09:38

Dualit toaster
Kenwood mini chopper
Instant pot
Nespresso
Kenwood Prospero stand mixer/food processor.
Braun stick blender

I think I need a spice grinder - any recommendations?

Getabloominmoveon · 18/03/2018 09:45

Bamix stick blender and grinder/chopper attachment - the Rolls Royce of blenders
Quooker instant boiling water tap
A jointed lemon squeezer
KitchenAid
Microplane graters
A little old nutmeg grater
Fish bone tweezers

Getabloominmoveon · 18/03/2018 09:47

And a silicon pan lid!

BewareOfDragons · 18/03/2018 09:47

Vegetable steamer for the gas hob
Runner bean slicer
Garlic press
Hand blender
Toaster
And my DH loves his new slidey board potato slicer (no idea what it's actually called)

lettuceWrap · 18/03/2018 09:58

Bean-to-jug coffee maker with timer (we literally wake up and smell the coffee)

Stick blender thingy (have a plastic one which is about 10 years old but looking to replace with a stainless steel one which will stand up to hot temperatures better)

Veg spirallisers (the low tech ones that look like giant pencil sharpeners are best, we have several)

Britta filter kettle

Nutribullet

Vernazza · 22/03/2018 17:21

Mini chopper (Kenwood)
Vitamix Professional - even has a self-wash cycle Smile

bluechameleon · 22/03/2018 17:43

Whisk
Stick blender/mini chopper
I'd love a proper food processor with a blender attachment, and am tempted by a waffle maker but not sure if it would end up gathering dust.

DeltaG · 22/03/2018 19:09

@bluechameleon

I’ve so far stopped DH getting a waffle maker as we already have the crêpe machine, a raclette grill, a chocolate fondue and traditional fondue and we have no more cupboard space! To be fair we do use all of these, living in Switzerland they are really popular (you can buy pre-sliced cheese for the raclette and packets of fondue, both cheese & choc in supermarket)
