Trying to restore a mattress

Hi all,

I took the linen off our bed today and realised it was in need of a good seeing to - but I'm not sure the best way to go about it.

Could I have some advice about the best way to air it, and clean it? It just isn't what is was when we bought it, and there's a big dip in the middle.

It was quite expensive (£600ish) so I don't fancy replacing it. It was only bought about a year and a half ago.

Many thanks in advance.

Have you been turning it every couple weeks? That can stop the dip in the middle from getting worse. I vacuum my mattress between linen changes-so about once a week. It’s shocking what comes out of it!!

I would turn it but it's only puffy on one side if you see what I mean - the other side they said not to sleep on and it doesn't have the foamy bit.

To refresh sprinkle with bicarbonate soda and lavender oil. Leave for half a day and hoover.

Look into getting a professional in to deep clean it properly

But if it has a dip in it, no cleaning will make it as good as new again

If you can't flip it make sure you turn it regularly also agree with the poster re bicarb liberally sprinkle leave as long as possible then vacuum - make sure you spread the bicarb out and it doesn't go in the pockets/dips.
