Help! Cuddly toy and sick!

DD2 has a cute cuddly toy that sings a song when you press it.

She loves to sleep with it.

Unfortunately, she was sick in the night and 'Singing Sheep' was hit.

Now normally I bung all cuddly toys in the washing machine tied into a pillow case, but I don't think Singing Sheep would survive that.

Can I submerge him in a basic of warm water and bicarb?

He's pongy!

Oooh, not an easy one! Think i'd sponge wash him in soapy water - not submerge - dry, and then bicarb him for as long as poss, then hoover. Basically what I did to DD's mattress recently!

don't know, but let me know if the sponge bath & bicarb works - DD's favourite toy in the whole world (small cuddly fox) has the same problem...

The bicarb definitely worked on the mattress. Luckily though I could move DD out into the spare room for a couple of nights, just left it on there. It's not so easy if Singing Sheep and Small Cuddly Fox are needed tonight

is there any way you could remove the singing bit and put the rest of the sheep in the washing machine and then replace the singing bit after?

can you do a bit of discreet surgery and remove the singing bit, then replace afterwards?

Exbury, if Small Fox doesn't sing etc, he'll be safe in a pillowcase in the washing machine (peg on line by ears till dry)

If small fox didn't sing (actually he clicks - it's a bizarre noise for a fox to make, but there you are) he would have joined the complete washing machine load of animals which DD has thrown up on - fortunately she is not old enough to be completely inseperable from him, and so far has only dribbled on/chewed him, but sooner or later I think he will have to take the plunge and may lose his voice in the process.

Is it a fisher price (or sim) singing lamb which moves it's head as well? I think we have one of those... and if singing is an important part of it's persona then I think surgery may be the only option.
