Eco friendly alternative to foil containers?

I batch cook quite a bit and use foil containers for freezing as they seem to be just the right size and stack really nicely in the freezer.

I am feeling very guilty about not using something more eco friendly though, so wanted to see what others use. In terms of size, 400ml is not quite big enough (my food flask is 0.47 litres) and I would love containers that stack as well as the foil ones.

I should add that I have lots of plastic containers that I do use, but haven't found anything that beats the sheer convenience of the foils in terms of size and 'stackability'.

Any ideas?

How about investing in some pyrex glass containers with plastic lids - freezer, oven and microwave proof (don't plastic lid in the oven though!). They are an investment but will pay for themselves over their lifetime - think of how much you are wasting on foil and plastic containers?

Do you reuse the foil containers? They keep their shape quite well and you can buy lids separately, or just use cling film.

Dishwasher safe Tupperware? That way, you can just wash it and reuse it over and over again.
We’ve kept loads of plastic take away containers and just wash and reuse them

Ikea do glass dishes with plastic lids that can go from freezer to oven (not the plastic lids) - I'm thinking of getting some for when I have left over portions of shepherds pie etc. However they only do 0.4 or 1.5 litre sizes so maybe not what you're looking for.
