I mean one that is plumbed in and filters all water coming into the house, not an under the sink one. What make is it, are you pleased with it, any comments?

I don't but i used to work for t'water board... why are you thinking of getting one? do you have a really bad problem with sediment/metals or something?

Just seems to give nice chlorine free water for showers and am sick of using a filter jug. We have lead pipes where we are now but the plumbing will be new where i am thinking of putting the filter, is it not worth it?

well i don't know if it is, to be honest, just to get a less chlorinated water. people who get a lot of rusty water need them to make their water palatable to drink, but i would stick with a filter jug to be honest - just my personal opinion. I think that there is a lot of worry about whether our water is 'safe' or not, when actually it is absolutely fine. On the other hand i do hate that 'swimming pool' shower effect that occasionally happens here!

Yes, have heard that de-chlorinated showers are very nice...I dechlorinate the DDs bath water as they have very dry skin.

well if it is aggravating their skin, perhaps you might as well put in the filter.... depends how much £!
