...bloody fantastic!

The thing that made me do it was that I am in pain all the time, not at all helped by the fact that my 2 DSes are awful sleepers so I never get a rest.

We'd kept loads of baby/toddler clothes because DH wants a 3rd. I've ummed and ahhed for the last couple of years but I've now decided that my body just can't take anymore.

So I've got rid of 5 bin bags of clothes, plus various baby stuff like a breast pump, bottles etc.

Then our boiler needed replacing so we had to empty out our rather large cupboard of doom. So I found loads of other stuff to get rid of! Old suitcase, ancient sleeping bag (not used in over 15 years), 3 pairs of DH's trainers which were desintegrating (he usually hates decluttering but did agree that these could go), various blankets and so on.

I feel so much better and lighter now. And we have much needed space in our flat for hiding Christmas presents Grin

All we have to get rid of now are the cot , a toddler swing and a bed barrier (all currently dismantled and under a bed), but for those I need to ring someone to come and collect them.

I also feel free from the permanent questionning of having a third or not.

I love decluttering threads on MN and finally I have something to report Smile

Me too - I feel cleansed. I've even offered to take the garden waste off the hedge cutter because it feels so exhilarating. Anyway well done. clean house now means you can sit and look at the cleaniness :) with a cup of tea

Yes can relax now. And I know that I won't let it build up again because as DS2 outgrows stuff it can go straight to charity!

The best bit was actually emptying out the cupboard of doom and discovering so much stuff we didn't know we had - curtain offcuts anyone?!

And DH seeing that he has 9 pairs of trainers and really doesn't need all 9....

The hardest bit is actually getting the stuff out of the flat though. Need to take it up to the charity shop on foot, or to the clothes recycling bins, also on foot.

Or waiting for the bins to be emptied so I can fill them straight back up again Grin
