I after some new saucepans/ frying pans. I’ve always got Tesco’s own really cheap ones. I’m willing to pay about £150 for a whole set. All I can afford really. Any suggestions??

look at what you use....I doubt you would get equal use out of all the pans in a set, so just buy the ones you need.

I heartily recommend the John Lewis Classic range....mine are going strong after almost 25 year

I've got a set of Stellar ones, they are absolutely brilliant. Come up clean and sparkly every dishwash, nothing seems to stick or burn in them, and they are worth every penny. I did some soup yesterday, turned the heat off and it was still warm enough to eat 2 hours later. You can get them in TK Maxx or Homesense quite regularly.

I have the procook professional range and I think they are absolutely fantastic. They have a cheaper range that I’m sure would be good too. I’m sure they’ll have decent Black Friday deals on so you should easily be able to get a set for £150

Ikea 365 stainless steel saucepan are really solid, hard wearing and reasonably priced. They are not non stick, but for most cooking you don't need non stick e.g. boiling veg, rice, pasta etc. I spent more on a circulon infinity frying pan and saute pan which have a very good non stick coating.

The pans I use the most are my copper ones from Aldi (two years old now and they still look mega) they get daily use, including putting them through the dishwasher which you’re not supposed to do (!) but a bit of lemon and salt and the copper is lovely again!!

After that I have a three tier steamer from stellar which is great as the bottom pan is a decent size for soup etc if you don’t want it for steaming. I also have a giant tefal frying pan from TK Maxx. It’s the best pan ever, but it’s duplicate that gets washed a lot more often than the bacon pan has not fared so well.

Second the advice to work out what you use most and just buy those instead of massive sets. I have several tiny pans which I don’t really use and, although useful, the giant ones don’t get so much use either.

Just bought some Go Cook ones which I really like. Getting some for DM this Xmas.

I didn’t realise there was so many different sorts out there!!
I’ve seen some on John Lewis which are reduced with a 25 year guarantee!
